Deck sheaves are mainly used to divert the path of a winch’s wire rope through various angles to allow the winch to fulfil a particular function such as over-boarding.
Many deck sheaves come with deflection rollers that help the wire rope to enter the sheave at a high angle. This helps when there is not enough deck space to provide the right angle into the sheave and has the added benefit of limiting any possible damage to the wire rope or the sheave.
Swivel Head and Roller Box Fairleads
Swivel head and roller box fairleads are specifically designed to over-board wire rope. The function of the swivel head and roller box fairleads keeps the wire rope firmly on the diverter sheave, compensating automatically for any excessive fleet angle. This further helps to prevent damage to the sheave and rope.
Snatch Blocks and Multi Sheave Blocks
A snatch block used to increase the load pulling capacity of a winch. A snatch block can be found in single sheave or multi sheave block form. Coming with swivel shackle head fittings ranging from 1 tonne to 150 tonnes, our single sheave snatch blocks can be accessed through their opening side plate, enabling you to reeve the wire rope easily through without removing the end termination. You can easily buy hydraulic hose bundles or air hose bundles for your winch. Hydraulic hose bundles are usually supplied in 5 metre sections, while air hose bundles come in longer 15 metre sections.
