Rotrex Winches Offshore Winch System heading for Singapore before returning to Aberdeen to be utilised in the Culzean Gas Field Project.
Rotrex Winches are pleased to be working alongside some of the largest most prestigious companies on the newly approved Culzean Gas Field Project in the UK Central North Sea, around 145 miles east of Aberdeen.
Phase One: Our 25T winch system, mobilised in November 2017 will be installed by Rotrex engineers in early 2018 onto the Central Processing Platform (CPF) currently under construction in Singapore. Once all trials and load testing are completed the winch system will be transported to the UK and located in situ 145 miles off the shores of Aberdeen.
Phase Two: Will commence in September 2018 whereby Rotrex winch technicians will travel offshore to the CPF to operate and maintain the winch system which will be used to pull-in a Control Umbilical.
The Culzean gas condensate field is expected to produce enough gas to meet 5% of total UK demand at peak production in 2020/21 and over 400 direct jobs. For full details on the project click here: https://www.offshore-technology.com/projects/culzean-gas-field-north-sea/
